For sale is a Mexican fire boulder opal ring in sterling silver.  This ring is exceptional.  I call it the "Lava ring" because of the dramatic, volcanic color and flash of the opalescence.  The opal is translucent with rich shades of orange and red fire.  A small amount of tan boulder is visible at the wide end of the opal. 

The opal is secure in a hand-crafted silver bezel setting.  The bezel is decorated with curving, textured silver feathers on both sides.  The opal is not visible from the inside of the band.  The ring has a very wide silver band.  This ring would be stunning worn by either a man or a woman.  You will rarely find a Mexican opal ring with this much drama and fire.
