Mexican Boulder Fire Opal Pendant 925. #2 Old Pawn **VIDEO**

For sale is a Mexican Boulder Fire Opal Pendant in sterling silver.  This is an old-pawn style pendant.  It features a domed oval opal with terracotta salmon pink matrix (boulder).  The opal has a lovely pool of opalescence set in the pink matrix.  The opal flashes with flashy reds and oranges on first blush.  As you move it in the light you can also see purples, blues and fuchsia.   The colors shift as you move them in the sunlight.  Please see the video for the most accurate view of this lovely opal.  The opal is secure in a silver bezel-setting, framed in silver with a twisted rope design.  The opal is completely backed in silver with an articulated silver bail to accommodate your chain.  Mexican boulder opal was plentiful in the last century, and was a popular souvenir for American tourists to Mexico.  However, opal is no longer being mined in Mexico, and these pieces are becoming increasingly rare and valuable.  This pendant is a magical, colorful piece of American history!
