Welcome to Sea Green Mermaid!

For sale is a ring with two Mexican fire boulder opals in sterling silver.  This ring features Mexican fire opals embedded in terracotta orange boulder or matrix.  The larger opal flashes with cherry red, purple and fuchsia fire, alternating with sparks of peacock blue fire as you move it in the light.  The smaller opal flashes with lime green, yellow and purple fire.  Both opals are secure in hand-crafted bezel settings.  The opals are backed in silver.  The ring has a wide, three band split-shank that joins together in the back to form a smooth polished band.  This is a large, colorful ring with delightful Mexican opals. This type of opal used to be plentiful, and was a popular souvenir for tourists visiting Mexico.  However, these lovely boulder opals are no longer being mined in Mexico and are increasingly hard to find.  They will become increasingly valuable with time!
