For sale is an Australian jelly opal pendant in sterling silver.  This opal was mined in the Lightning Ridge opal fields in New South Wales, Australia.  The opal is a large domed oval.  It is completely transparent with ghostly flashes of opalescence that shift over its surface.  The opal has lots of cherry red, and also flashes lime, tangerine, and purple fire.  This opal is unusually large and colorful for a jelly opal.  The opal is secure in a prong setting.  The opal is set in a silver frame with an intricate filigree design. The pendant has a fixed bail to accommodate your chain.  The opal has a crack inside the stone that may be natural or may be due to wear.  The crack cannot be felt from the outside of the stone, and does not extend to the edges of the stone.  This is a large, magical, other-worldly opal that will transport you when you when  you wear it in the sunlight.
