For sale is a 18k yellow gold ring with Australian lavender crystal opals.  This is a large cluster ring with a high profile, sometimes called a harem ring or a princess ring.  The opals were mined in the Lightning Ridge opal fields in New South Wales, Australia.  The opals are translucent with delicate lavender color.  The opals appear simply lavender in dim light, but in sunlight or bright artificial light the opals display a wonderful play of color, shifting from lavender to peacock blue to rich purple to turquoise.  The ring features 8 domed round opals arranged around a 9th opal in the center.  The opals are framed with solid gold leaves with delicately engraved details.  Each opal is secure in prong settings. This is a beautifully crafted antique ring with stunning opals.  Perfect for opal lovers who thrive on lavender and purple shades.
