For sale is an 18k yellow gold pendant with a natural emerald.  The pendant depicts an Incan "Feathered Serpent God," revered also in Aztec culture as the god Quetacoatl.  The god has feathered arms (wings) and the curving tail of a snake.  This god is a mix of god and human - godlike because he can fly, and human because he must crawl the earth like a serpent.  The pendant is hand-crafted by a native artisan.  The body of the pendant is textured, and the details of the face are carefully hand-crafted.  The figure has an emerald-cut emerald bezel-set in his mid-section.  The emerald is vivid, classic green-blue with lovely translucence and natural inclusions.  The emerald has small scratches and scuffs to the surface but no cracks, chips or major damage.  This is a lovely, beautifully crafted pendant and a work of art.
