SG MERMAID 14k Yellow Gold SUN BURST Pin/ Pendant. Rainbow Moonstone--K1L54J

For sale is a 14k yellow gold moonstone sunburst pendant.  This is an antique pendant from from the Victorian era.  The pendant can also be used as a brooch or pin.  The pendant is designed as a sun with a rainbow moonstone at the center.  The moonstone is round and has a lovely blue glow.  The moonstone is secure in prong settings.  The rays of the sun are beautifully crafted.  Some of the rays have curling "s" shapes, and others are curving "zig zag" shapes.  The pendant has a pin in the back.  The pendant has an interesting hinged bail that can be folded down and hidden, if you prefer to wear it as a pin.   The sun is such a powerful symbol, and this design is striking and unusual.  The glowing moonstone adds a touch of magic to the pendant.  This pendant can be worn alone, or layered with other necklaces.

The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
