Ethiopian Welo Opal Silver Snake Pendant w Chain *Video*

For sale is an Ethiopian Welo opal snake pendant in sterling silver. The sale also includes the silver chain. The hand-crafted snake coils around a polished rough Welo opal, full of vibrant color and fire. The opal has lots of cherry red, the most rare and therefore often considered the most valuable opal color. It also flashes with peacock blue, lime, and tangerine fire. This opal displays vibrant color even in dim indoor light, but goes off like fireworks in sunlight.  Please view the video to appreciate the display of this opal. 

The opal is secure in a hand-crafted bezel setting. The snakes tail coils around the opal, and her head and tail form a looping knot at the bottom of the pendant. The snake's body is textured with scales and her diamond shaped head has raised silver eyes. The silver chain fastens with a large lobster clasp. This is a wonderfully colorful, hand-crafted artisan opal pendant. It is fun to wear alone, and can also be layered with other necklaces.
