Ethiopian Welo Jelly Opal Silver Bezel Set Ring. 0.8" Teardrop *Video*

For sale is an oval cabochon Ethiopian Welo jelly opal ring in sterling silver. This is a large Ethiopian opal, full of fire and flash. The opal was mined in the opal fields of the Wollo province of Ethiopia. The teardrop shaped opal is semi-translucent with brilliant cherry red, tangerine, lime, and yellow fire.

I particularly love the flashes of sky blue and purple fire that contrast brilliantly with the red, orange and yellow fire. The opal is secure in a bezel-setting with lovely scalloped edging. You can see the back of the opal from inside the ring. The ring's split shanks join into a half-round band at the back.

This is a dazzling opal. It will amaze you in the sunlight.
