For sale is an Ethiopian Welo jelly opal ring in sterling silver. This is a large, emerald-cut Ethiopian opal, full of fire and flash. The opal was mined in the opal fields of the Wollo province of Ethiopia. The rectangular opal is semi-translucent with brilliant green, blue, cherry red, tangerine, lime, and yellow fire.
I particularly love the flashes of sky blue and green fire that contrast brilliantly with the red, orange and yellow fire. The opal is secure in a bezel-setting with with wide shoulders that taper slightly toward the back. You can see the back of the opal from inside the ring.
This is a dazzling opal. It will amaze you in the sunlight.
