For sale is a beautiful and unusual three-stone opal ring in sterling silver, with a graceful wrap design that gives the gemstones an almost floating appearance on the hand.

The ring features a vertical “stoplight” arrangement of three oval gemstones. The star of the show is the top stone, a vibrant Ethiopian Welo opal with a lovely pale honey body color. In bright light, the opal comes alive with flashes of neon green, orange and yellow fire, along with tiny pinpoints of red and purple. Like many jelly opals, its play of color is more subtle in dimmer light and wonderfully fiery when the light hits it.

Below the opal are two translucent quartz cabochons with a soft, milky appearance. Their quiet glow provides a lovely contrast to the colorful fire of the Welo opal. Each of the three gemstones is held securely in its own hand-crafted silver bezel setting.

The silver setting is particularly lovely. The ring has a sweeping wrap-around design, with the upper and lower stones embraced by the curved silver ends of the wrap.
