For sale is a ring with Ethiopian Welo opals in 925 sterling silver.  The opals in this ring are extraordinarily colorful and full of fire.  These opals were mined in the Wollo province in northern Ethiopia.  The ring features three oval cabochon opals.  The opals are translucent with a honey-amber base color.  The opals display fire even in dim light.  However in sunlight or bright light these opals put on a show!  They snap crackle and pop with vivid neon green, orange, yellow, cherry red, indigo and purple.  The colors are in constant flux as the ring moves in the light.  If you have only ever owned an old-fashioned white opal, you will be delighted by this ring.  It is a large size (9) and can be re-sized by your jeweler.
