For sale is an Ethiopian black Welo opal bracelet with black quartz in 925 sterling silver.  The bracelet features cabochon oval opals that are chocolate brown - black with wonderful flashes of neon green, red,yellow and orange fire.  Welo opals come from the Wollo province in Ethiopia, and they flash with otherworldly fire that seems to come from deep within the stone.  Each opal is surrounded by a halo of faceted black quartz gemstones.  The bracelet is sturdy and well-made.  It fastens securely with a sturdy silver tongue-in-groove clasp.  Black Ethiopian opals were only available for purchase for a brief period during the early 1990s, but it is now difficult to find them in either new or pre-owned jewelry.  This is a stunning bracelet with an elegant, slightly "Gothic" look that I find delightful.  

The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
