For sale is a pair of Ethiopian Welo opal earrings in sterling silver with 14k bezels. The earrings feature cabochon jelly opals from the Wollo province of Ethiopia. These opals are full of extra flash and fire! Each opal is semi-transparent with an honey-yellow hue, and flashes primarily with neon green and peacock blue fire. Each opal also flashes with tangerine, yellow, red and purple fire as well. The top opal is a larger oval set east-west. A smaller round opal dangles below. Each opal is secure in a 14k gold bezel-setting. The earrings have sterling "bullet-clutch" backs that hold the earrings close to your ear. These are large, bold opal earrings with magical flash and fire.
