For sale is an Ethiopian Black Welo Opal ring set in silver.  This teardrop shaped opal is exceptionally large with wonderful flashes of cherry red and lime green fire.  You will also see occasional slashes of sky blue and purple fire in bright sunlight.  This is a true black opal, not lab-created or synthetic.  The opal is a very large, elongated teardrop or paisley shape.  This opal is translucent black to dark coffee brown with vivid flashes of fire that wash over the surface of the stone.  Like most black opals, this opal is subtle in dim light.  In sunlight or bright indoor light the opal flashes with eye-grabbing fire.  The opal is visible from the inside of the ring. The opal is surrounded by a halo of hand-cut rose-cut diamonds.  The diamonds are sparkly and brilliant, adding even more sparkle to this amazing opal ring. The opal is securely prong-set.  The opal is set in silver with a rose-yellow gold hue. 
***The opal has an unusual natural inclusion that appears as a "bubble" under the surface.  This naturally occurring imperfection doesn't reduce the beauty and fire of the stone.  Please view the video for the most accurate view of the opal.
