Australian Boulder Opal Hand-Carved Cameo for Pendant. 1". OOAK

For sale is an Australian boulder opal carved in the shape of a woman's profile with flowing hair.  This opal was mined in the Koroit opal fields in Australia.  The opal is large (just over 1" in length) with chocolate brown matrix.  The opal is carved so that the woman's face is brown boulder, and her flowing, wavy hair is luminescent, colorful jelly opal.  The woman's face is truly beautifully hand-carved.  Her features are lovely, and her brow, cheeks, lips and ears are delicately detailed.  Her hair is milky jelly opal with translucent, sparkling rivers of blue, green, red and purple opalescence.   The back of the opal is brown matrix that is polished smooth.  This unusual carved opal can be enjoyed as a talisman, or your jeweler can set it for you as a stunning pendant.

The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
