Australian Black Opal Triplet RAINBOW Pendant. 925 + 14k Gold-Fill

For sale is a rainbow pendant with an Australian opal triplet in sterling silver and 14k yellow gold-fill.  This hand-crafted pendant has a clean, modernist design.  The pendant is composed of two half-circles that come together to form a whole circle.  The bottom of the pendant is semi-circle of sterling silver.  The top of the pendant is formed from two curving gold bands.  The bottom of the pendant is set with a dark oval opal that glitters with pinprick color.  The opal is bezel set in silver.   The opal is a triplet, which means it is backed in onyx (to deepen and darken the color) and topped with quartz (to protect the opal). The design of the pendant resembles a rainbow to my eye.  The pendant has a jump ring bail to accommodate your chain.  This pendant can be worn at the neckline, or you can wear it on a longer chain. like a medallion.

The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
