For sale is an Australian jelly opal ring in a sterling silver hand-crafted setting.  This large jelly opal is backed in silver, which gives it an interesting "foiled" look, similar to opal doublets (which are backed with onyx).  The ring features a large teardrop-shaped opal.  This large jelly opal is unusual and quite moody.  In dim light the opal is subtle, and in bright light you will see otherworldly flashes of purple, lime green, and cherry red ghostly fire.  The opalescence forms wisps that float through the interior of this ethereal opal.  The opal is set in a partial bezel that is hand-crafted to exactly fit the gemstone.  The opal is framed in silver with a twisted rope design.  The artist has extended the teardrop-shaped frame with five small arms decorated with silver Bali beads, giving the ring an unusual web-like, star design.  This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted ring with a lovely, large opal.  It can be worn beautifully by either a man or a woman.
