Welcome to Sea Green Mermaid!

For sale is a 14k yellow gold ball-point pen made by the prestigious Hennegen Bates and Co., a jeweler & silversmith in Baltimore MD from 1857 to1955. This antique pen is in very good condition with little sign of wear and no damage.  The pen is standard-sized at 5 inches.  It is solid and heavy at 22 grams.  The pen is imprinted with the maker's stamp ("HB"), the "14k gold" stamp.   
The sale includes the original box that is stamped with the Hennegan Bates name.  The box is cream-colored watered silk, with a mother of pearl push-button clasp that functions correctly.

 

The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
