For sale is a 14k yellow gold snake pendant with sapphire eyes, coiled around an diamond "egg". I asked my jeweler to convert this pendant from an antique pin from the Egyptian revival period in the early 1800's, when Europeans and Americans became obsessed with all things from "the Orient."  This mama snake is coiled up, protecting her new egg. 

Mama snake is cute, not a scary, threatening fanged cobra-type snake.  The snake has glowing blue sapphire eyes that are bezel set.  Her mouth is open as she warns potential predators away from her precious egg.  Her body encircles the diamond, and her tail curves back on itself to form the bail.  
The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
