For sale is a 14k yellow gold and carved red carnelian Ganesha pendant.  Ganesha, the Hindu god with the head of an elephant, is revered as the remover of obstacles, a bringer of good luck, and a god of wisdom and new beginnings (see more about Ganesha below.)  The pendant is carefully carved in a lovely piece of tomato red carnelian. The figure of the god is carved with expert level craftsmanship.  Ganesh is presented in lovely three-dimensional detail.  The gemstone is securely set in a gold bezel frame.  The pendant has an articulated bail to accommodate your chain.  This pendant is stunning and quite unusual.  I have never seen a carnelian carved Ganesha in many decades buying and selling on ebay.  

Ganesha is one of the best-known and most worshipped deities in the Hindu religion. Although Ganesha has many attributes, he is readily identified by his elephant head. He is widely revered as the remover of obstacles and thought to bring good luck; the patron of arts and sciences; and the deva of intellect and wisdom. As the god of beginnings, he is honored at the start of rites and ceremonies. Ganesha is also invoked as a patron of letters and learning during writing sessions.
