18k Yellow Gold Enamel Chicken in a Basket Pendant. Antique

For sale is an 18k yellow gold pendant featuring a colorful enamel chicken in a woven basket.  This antique pendant is beautifully crafted.  The pendant is three-dimensional, detailed on all sides.  The chicken has beautiful enamel-work, with a vibrant yellow head, red comb and body, and royal blue, green, red, orange and yellow curving tail feathers.  

If you look into the basket you can see the chicken's lower body.  The basket has actually been woven by the artist from ribbons of solid 18k gold.  The handle of the basket, as well as the top and bottom edges, are made from a twisted rope of 18k gold.  The pendant is heavy and solid.  It is well-crafted with great attention to detail.  This lovely, large and colorful antique pendant will make you smile every time you put it on.
