10k Yellow Gold 1964 Great Alaskan Earthquake Pendant. 1.2" + 5g

For sale is a 10k yellow gold souvenir pendant from the Great Alaskan Earthquake of 1964.  This large, medallion-style pendant commemorates the 2nd largest earthquake and tsunami of all time, which occurred on March 27, 1964.  This beautifully crafted pendant is a large, thick, flat disk of gold with words in raised gold.  The words "I Was Shook" are raised across the top of the pendant.  In the middle, the pendant reads "Alaska Earthquake."  At the bottom is the date "3 27 64."  The letters in the word "Earthquake" are uneven, as if they are being wobbled by the tremor. The raised gold letters are polished smooth on the top.  The surface of the pendant has a "nugget" texture.  The pendant has an articulated bail to accommodate your chain.  This pendant would be attractive worn by a man or a woman.  

The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
