For sale is a 9k yellow rose gold festoon necklace with amethyst gemstones. This necklace is a well-crafted antique from the Arts & Crafts era in the late 19C, and is sometimes called a bib or collar necklace. The necklace features oval and round lavender amethysts that are bezel-set, completely framed in yellow gold with a rose-y hue. Six small, round amethysts are set at even intervals along the front of the necklace. Larger oval amethysts dangle from twin chains from these smaller amethysts, giving the necklace it's bib or festoon design. This is a lovely antique necklace with a wonderful large presence due to its unusual bib design and lovely lavender purple color. This necklace will be spectacularly festive with a scooped neckline!
***This is an antique piece and shows some wear both to the gold and stones (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
