For sale is a 14k yellow gold pendant with antique roman glass. Excavated by archaologists in Israel, roman glass was first manufactured as early as the 1st century AD!  The roman glass in this pendant is an exceptionally large, well-preserved, and colorful artifact.  Roman glass appears like a mosaic with small iridescent pieces embedded in translucent glass. This piece of roman glass flashes with a rainbow of iridescent pastel color as you move it in the light.   The roman glass is completely framed in gold and has an articulated bale to accommodate your chain.  The pendant has no damage and shows little wear.  
What is Roman Glass?  Roman Glass is ancient glass discovered in archaeological excavation sites in Israel and other Mediterranean countries. The sources of the glass in a piece of Roman jewelry originally belonged to a vase, jug or vessel. The presence of sandy dunes and beaches made ancient Israel one of the largest glass producers of the Roman Empire, and the same sands helped preserve, shape and temper the glass used in jewelry pieces.
