14k Yellow Gold Emerald-Cut Moonstone & Diamond Drop Earrings. Art Deco

For sale is a pair of 14k yellow rose gold drop earrings with emerald cut moonstones and diamonds.  These unusual antique earrings were beautifully crafted during the Art Deco era.  It is unusual to find emerald-cut moonstones in jewelry from any era!  Each drop earring features a yellow-rose gold shepherd's hook with a bezel-set diamond at one end.  An emerald-cut moonstone dangles below the diamond.  Each moonstone possesses the astonishing characteristic called "adularescence", an optical reflectance that creates the appearance of a ghostly blue glow floating beneath the surface of the moonstone.  In sunlight the effect is otherworldly and intriguing, and fascinates the eye.  Each moonstone is secure in a hand-crafted bezel-setting.  The earrings are modest, but large enough to be noticed.  These earrings are one-of-a-kind, elegant, and magical.  Simply enchanting!
