14k Yellow Gold Carved Carnelian Mama Hen Chicken Pendant. Antique

For sale is a 14k yellow gold carved carnelian chicken or hen pendant.  I had my jeweler convert this unusual pendant from an antique stickpin so it could be worn and enjoyed.  The pendant features a three-dimensional hen.  This mama chicken is carved with amazing skill and craftsmanship.  The carnelian has beautifully variegated pumpkin orange color.  The artist has skillfully carved this piece of carnelian so that the hen's comb and tail are translucent!  This wee hen would look sweet and dainty worn alone, and can also be layered with other tiny pendants.   

The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
