14k Gold Carved Australian Opal Guayin Goddess Pendant *Video*

For sale is a 14k yellow gold pendant with a carved Australian opal in the image of the goddess Guanyin, the goddess of compassion (also spelled Kuan Yin, Quan Yin and Guan Yin.)  This lovely pendant is beautifully hand-crafted to bring out the natural colorful fire of this vibrant pinfire opal.  The goddess is beautifully carved, from her traditional flowing kimono to her upswept hair. The opal flashes with lime green, orange, cherry red, blue, fuchsia and lavender fire in the sunlight.  The opal is secure in hand-crafted prongs and backed in a gold wire frame.  The opal is visible from the back of the pendant.  The pendant has an attached bail to accommodate your chain.  

Guanyin is a Bodhisattva associated with compassion. She was called the Goddess of Mercy by Jesuit missionaries in China.   Guanyin means "The One Who Perceives the Sounds of the World."  Guanyin is often referred to as the "most widely beloved Buddhist Divinity" with miraculous powers to assist all those who pray to her.
