For sale is a 14k yellow gold ring with Maw Sit Sit jade.  Maw sit sit jade is rare, and was discovered in Burma in the Himalayan mountains.  Maw sit sit is prized for its vivid green color and the interesting striations of darker green and black found in the stone.  The ring features a domed oval of vivid green maw sit sit that is flanked on both sides by emerald-cut maw sit sit jade gemstones.  The gemstones all display inky, shiny black and vibrant green that swirl together in a storm of dramatic contrast.  This ring is unusual both because of the rarity of the maw sit sit gemstone, and because of the rings' attractive three stone design.

Maw sit sit, also known as jade-albite, is a gemstone found exclusively in northern Burma. It was first identified in 1963 by the late Swiss gemologist, Edward Gubelin, and was named after the village close to where it was first found in the foothills of the Himalayas. 


The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
