Welo Jelly Opal By-the-Yard 27" Chain Necklace. 925 *Video*

For sale is a sterling silver "by the yard" / station chain necklace with 20 cabochon jelly opals.  These opals were mined in the Wolo province of Ethiopia.   This necklace is so unusual!  It is extra-long ("opera length") and features large cabochon jelly opals spaced along a gold-tone sterling silver chain.  The necklace has smaller oval opals, and larger opals with teardrop, triangular, and oval cuts.  The jelly opals are translucent with a pale honey color.  The opals are subtle in dim light, and they come to life when catch the light!  Each opal flashes lime green, purple, fuchsia, tangerine, and cherry red. Each opal is securely framed in gold-tone silver.  The necklace fastens with a large silver lobster clasp.  This is an unusual, vibrant and well-crafted opal necklace.  It will look amazing with a white t-shirt and jeans, a sundress, or a formal pale silk gown.

The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
