Australian Black Opal Triplet WINGS Earrings. 3" & 11g *VIDEO*

For sale is a pair of 14k yellow gold earrings with Australian black opal triplets. These opals are an excellent example of triplets at their very best. These earrings are opals that are backed in onyx and topped with clear quartz.  The onyx adds richness and depth to the opal's myriad colors, and the domed quartz enhances and exaggerates the fire and color of the natural gemstone.  Each earring features a large oval opal set in a hand-crafted bezel setting.  These opals are amazing in any light, but go off like fireworks in the sun.  Please see the photos and video. As you move them in the light, waves of vibrant color wash over the surface of the gemstones.  You will see cherry red, peacock blue, neon green, tangerine and yellow all vying for prominence. The earrings themselves are large wings, with lovely curving shape and engraved texture.  The wings are slightly curved, not flat.  Each earring is suspended from a shepherds hook, allowing the opals to move and catch the light as the earrings swing and sway. Just fantastic. 

The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
