14k Yellow Gold Earrings w Silver Greek "Vergina Sun" Coins

For sale is a pair of 14k yellow gold earrings with silver Green "Vergina Sun" coins.  The Vergina Sun, also called the Star of Vergina, is royal symbol of ancient Macedonia.  It is named after the small town of Vergina in Northern Greece, where archeologist first excavated ancient artifacts with this sunburst symbol in the 1970s.  Each slightly domed silver coin bears the stylized sunburst design in raised silver. The coin is bezel set in a 14k gold frame with an elegant scrolled design set above.  Each earring is suspended from a French hook made of 14k gold.  These earrings are large and bold, with a classic and elegant design. 

The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
