For sale is a 14k yellow gold cigar band ring with bezel-set Alaskan Gold in Quartz.  Gold-in-Quartz, also known as Gold Quartz or Gold bearing quartz is a rare and sought-after gemstone for jewelry makers today.  It consists of white (or gray or black) quartz with veins of pure gold ore running through it.  The quartz in this ring is a creamy shade of white with a lightning bolt of bright, burnished 24k gold running jaggedly along one half of the stone.  The quartz is a large domed oval, and is secure in a hand-crafted bezel setting. The quartz has a rough, nugget-like surface.  The surface has crackles and pitting that appear to be natural to the original stone as it was originally mined.

The ring is heavy and beautifully crafted.  It would be attractive worn by a man or a woman.  The ring is wide and slightly domed, and the gold quartz sits slightly elevated above the finger (see photos.).  The quartz is visible from the inside of the band.
