For sale is a 14k yellow gold pendant with *black* Alaskan Gold-in-Quartz.  Both sides of this gold quartz are truly stunning.  To me, the pattern of gold ore resembles crashing ocean waves against the deep black quartz.  This antique pendant began life as a fob for a gentlemen's gold pocket watch. 

Gold-in-Quartz, also known as Gold Quartz or Gold bearing quartz is a rare and sought-after gemstone for jewelry makers today.  It consists of white, gray, or black quartz with veins of pure gold ore running through it.  This quartz is deep charcoal gray with bright burnished 24k gold ore covering 25-35% of the surface. The quartz is cut in a rectangle, and is beautifully inlaid in a hand-crafted rectangular setting.  The craftsmanship in this pendant is truly exceptional.  The pendant is completely backed in solid gold, with an articulated bail to accommodate your chain.
