For sale is a pair of 14k yellow gold ALASKAN GOLD in QUARTZ Omegaback Earrings.  These classically styled earrings have a modern, simple elegance.  Each earring features a rounded triangle of gold quartz  that is prong-set in a thick gold frame.  Gold-in-Quartz, also known as Gold Quartz or Gold bearing quartz is a rare and sought-after gemstone for jewelry makers today.  It consists of white (or gray or black) quartz with veins of pure gold ore running through it.  The most valuable gems are those with white or cream quartz and lots of gold veins.  These quartz earrings are a creamy shade of white with bright burnished 24k gold flakes covering most of the stone.  The back of each gemstone is visible from the back of the earrings.  The earrings fasten with omega backs that snap crisply open and closed.  In many years of selling jewelry, I have rarely come across omega back earrings in Gold Quartz, nor Gold Quartz earrings of such fine quality and craftsmanship.  Each earring is large enough to be worn as a lovely pendant.  The owner of these earrings will be a lucky person indeed!
