For sale is a 14k white gold ring with a gray-lavender star sapphire.  This ring is truly stunning.  The star sapphire is a gentle shade of gray with lavender overtones.  The stone almost resembles a moonstone, because it has the same eerie translucence.  The sapphire displays a very subtle six-ray star in sunlight, and a glowing asterism in less bright light (see video).  The sapphire is secure in a hand-crafted prong setting.  The ring has a simple half-round white gold band. Sapphires are one of the most durable (hardest) gemstones, next to diamonds, so this elegant ring is durable enough for daily wear.
