14k Gold Victorian Coiled SNAKE Pendant w Cabochon Garnets. 1.5" 8g

For sale is a 14k yellow gold snake pendant with garnets. I had my jeweler convert this pendant from an antique pin so it could be worn and enjoyed.  This piece was crafted during the Egyptian revival period in the early 1800's, when Europeans and Americans became obsessed with all things from "the Orient."  The snake is hollow and sturdy.  Her body is coiled in an elaborate figure eight pattern, with her tail curving up over her body at the bottom of the pendant.   

The snake has glowing red garnet cabochon eyes that are bezel set. She also has a larger oval cabochon garnet set in the back of her head. The garnets are a rich shade of pomegranate red, with lovely glowing translucence in the light.  The pendant has a large jump ring bail to accommodate your chain. 

This pendant is designed to allow you to suspend other pendants from a small hook mounted on the back.  I am including a small cabochon garnet pendant for you to wear, at no extra cost :). If you prefer, it is quite simple for your jeweler to solder the hook closed.

**This is an antique pendant and the gold shows light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.
