14k Gold Carved Moonstone Crescent Man in the Moon Ring. Tiny **Video**

For sale is a 14k yellow gold reverse-carved moonstone crescent moon "man in the moon" ring with stars.  This one of a kind Victorian era antique is magical.  I've never seen one like it.  The cabochon oval moonstone has been reverse-carved on the flat side, leaving the front smooth and domed.  A crescent moon is carved into one side of the oval.  Mr. moon wears a quirky smile, and has beautifully detailed facial features.  Tiny twinkling stars are carved into the other side of the moonstone.  The moonstone has that wonderful quality known as adulerescence, the eerie blue glow that seems to shift across the moonstone as you move it in the light.  The moonstone is secure in a prong setting.  The moonstone is set beneath the band of the ring, allowing you to pair it with other bands if you choose. (Shown here with diamond bands.)  This tiny ring has delightful, shifting iridescence and wonderful, hand-crafted detailing.  Wear it on its own, or combine it with other Victorian era rings such as garnets, black onyx, diamonds, and pearls.
