14k Gold Carved Aquamarine Blue Quartz Scottish Thistle Pendant. 1.5"

For sale is a 14k yellow gold pendant with a Scottish thistle carved from aquamarine blue quartz.  The Scottish thistle is the national flower of Scotland, and is frequently seen on kilt pins, brooches and other jewelry.   The pendant features a large piece of sky blue quartz that is beautifully carved.  The leaves of the thistle are elaborately and skillfully carved with intricate detail.  The blossom of the thistle is a lovely transparent orb at the bottom of the pendant.  The carved quartz thistle is secure in a hand-crafted gold setting.  The setting completely frames the thistle, and holds it securely with hand-crafted gold prongs. The pendant has a large built-in bail to accommodate your chain.  This is an unusually lovely carved pendant, and a wonderful tribute to Scotland's history and culture.

The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
