10k Yellow Rose Gold Carved Onyx *Wasp* Spinning Watch Fob Pendant

For sale is a 10k yellow gold spinning watch fob pendant featuring carved onyx with a wasp design.  This antique pendant was originally created as a decorative fob for a gentleman's pocket watch. The onyx has an unusual and elegant shape; a rectangle with scalloped and bevelled edges.  The carving is also quite rare and unusual.  Most onyx is carved with the classic helmeted soldier in profile.  But this onyx has been carved in an elegant representation of a wasp perched on a stalk of grass.  The wasp's segmented body, antennae, wings, and angled legs are all delicately carved into the onyx.  The fob itself is beautifully crafted, with intricate scalloped and engraved details.  The onyx spins easily, creating an added benefit for those who enjoy motion.  I have added a 14k spring ring clasp as a bail to accommodate your chain.  This pendant would be attractive for a man or a woman.

The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
