10k Gold Fill Australian Black OPAL Gambler's Ring *Video*

For sale is a 10k yellow gold filled ring set with three cabochon Autralian black opals.  This antique ring is wonderfully juicy and gemmy!  This type of ring, with three gemstones set side-by-side, is often called a Gambler's ring.  The legend is that a gambler would have their ring set with diamonds when they were on a winning streak.  When they lost all their money, they would sell the diamonds and replace them with garnets, opals or other less expensive gemstones.  This ring is simply spectacular.  The ring itself is a slightly domed wide band that is carved with an elaborate patterns of swirls and rosettes.  The opals are exceptionally vibrant and full of color.  Each opal has a slightly different pattern of colors and fire.  The opals are in good condition, without cracks, breaks or crazing.  The ring is widest at the front, and narrows to a simple band in the back.  This ring is stunning worn alone, and can also be combined with other antique rings.  It looks wonderful with onyx, cameo, pearl, and diamond jewelry from the same era.  The ring is currently size 6.75 and can be resized by your jeweler at a reasonable cost.  The ring can be worn beautifully by a man or a woman.
