10k Yellow Gold Heart Pendant w Crescent Moon + Gypsy Set Garnet

For sale is a 10k yellow gold heart pendant with a gypsy set garnet and a reppouse crescent moon.  This antique pendant is well-crafted and lovely to look at.  The pendant is a hollow, sturdy heart in a lovely shade of yellow gold with a rosey hue.  The front of the pendant features a reppouse crescent moon with an intricate pattern of flowers and leaves.  At the center of the moon, the pendant has a small red garnet in a gypsy setting.  The garnet is rose-cut - cut by hand.  The garnet is set inside an engraved sunburst or starburst design.  Gypsy settings were popular during the Victorian era.  Jewelers would channel set the gemstone flush with the surface of the gold, and engrave sun-rays around the gemstone, drawing the eye and augmenting the brilliance of the gem.  This pendant has a gold spring ring clasp for you to use as a bail to accommodate your chain.  This antique pendant is full of the old-world charm and romance of a by-gone era!
