For sale is a large 10k yellow gold pendant with inlaid Alaskan Gold-in-Quartz.  I had this antique pendant converted from a pin so it would be worn and enjoyed.  This beautiful and unusual antique pendant features Gold-in-Quartz, also known as Gold Quartz or Gold bearing quartz, a rare and sought-after gemstone for jewelry makers today.  It consists of white (or gray or black) quartz with veins of pure gold ore running through it.  This quartz is a creamy shade of white with bright burnished 24k gold ore forming elegant patterns on the the surface. The pendant is a large oval with four inlaid triangular pieces of gold quartz. The oval has two bands of gold forming an "X" at the center, and the gold quartz pieces are inlaid around it.  Each piece of gold quartz is carefully inlaid in the gold setting.  The surface of the quartz is rough and pitted, not smoothly polished.  The quartz is completely backed in solid gold.  The pendant has an attached bail to accommodate your chain. 


This well-crafted gold-in-quartz pendant is not only beautiful, but is actually a wise investment that will only increase in value over time.
