9k-10K Gold Victorian Blond Baby Hand-Tinted Portrait Pendant

For sale is a solid 9k - 10k yellow gold pendant featuring a hand-tinted portrait of a blond child on one side and a lock of blond hair on the other.   This masterfully crafted antique pendant was created during the Victorian era.  It may have been created as a mourning pendant, or it might simply have been made in honor of a much beloved child.  The pendant has glass windows on both sides that are in good condition.  The little tow-headed child has a beautiful face and a sweet expression. The portrait has been expertly hand-tinted, and appears quite realistic.  The child has blue eyes, pink lips and cheeks, and pale golden hair.  The baby is wearing a garment made of white fabric, which may be a christening gown.  The edges of the pendant have an elaborate repousse design.  This lovely antique locket has a large jump ring bail to accommodate your chain.  

**I list this item as 9k-10k because it is stamped "9 ct" but I cannot test for 9k.  It tests positive at 10k, so I list it as both.  I apologize for any confusion.
