10k Yellow Gold 1" Onyx CROSS Ring w Rose-Cut Diamond. Gothic

For sale is a 10k yellow gold onyx signet ring with a diamond studded cross.  This antique Art Deco era ring is quite stunning.  It is beautifully crafted, with wonderful gothic styling.  The ring features a large slightly domed oval of black onyx with a yellow gold cross inlaid in the center.  The cross is engraved with an elegant repeating floral design.  A rose-cut diamond is invisibly set in white gold at the transcept of the cross.  The onyx is securely prong-set.  The onyx is further secured by the scalloped, fan-like shanks of the ring which rise to grasp the edges of the onyx.  The gold cross is secured to the ring with a gold stud that pierces the onyx.  The ring has a simple gold band in back.  This ring looks stunning with other Victorian, gothic, and Egyptian revival style rings.  It combines beautifully with diamond, garnet, cameo, and pearl jewelry.  

The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
