10k Yellow Gold Rose of Sharon Diamond Flower Ring. "Consumed by Love"

For sale is a 10k yellow gold rose of sharon ring with a rose-cut diamond.  In the language of flowers, the rose of Sharon expresses the meaning “consumed by love.”  It is also known as the “endless flower.”  Rose of sharon rings were popular engagement rings during the Victorian era ring.  Mostly you find these rings in amethyst or citrine.  This is the first ring I have seen in a red stone.  The oval gemstone is deeply engraved with the classic tiny blossom.  The flower is painted gold, and has a tiny rose-cut diamond set at the center.  The gemstone is a synthetic ruby, with wonderful luminous red color.  The gemstone is secure in a multi-prong setting.  The ring has elegantly scrolled shoulders and a simple flat band in the back.  The yellow gold has a slightly rosey hue.  It combines beautifully with diamond, garnet, cameo, and pearl jewelry.  

The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
