Blue Lab Star Sapphire Ring w Enamel Frogs. 1940s *Video*

Now this ring is truly unusual. For sale is a blue "star sapphire" ring, made in China in the 1940s, that is actually made from quartz. Although rare, this is my very favorite form of synthetic star sapphire. Where Lindy star sapphires are opaque, this type of star sapphire has the same translucence you see in a natural star sapphire.

The stone has a gorgeous many-rayed star even in dim light. The ring itself is a work of art. The original owner purchased this ring in China in the 1940s and the ring has an intricate design with enamel painted frogs and lily pads framing the stone.

This ring is exceptionally beautiful and well-crafted. The sapphire is a cool shade of vibrant ocean blue. The band of the ring is adjustable by your jeweler. The ring would be beautiful worn by either a man or a woman.

The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
