For sale is a dramatic, one-of-a-kind sterling silver ring set with three wonderfully organic Australian opals.

This fabulous ring has a distinctly hand-crafted, artisan quality. The wide band is constructed from four flat, slightly curved bands of sterling silver, creating open spaces between the layers and giving this substantial ring a wonderfully sculptural look.

Three Australian opal cabochons are scattered across the silver bands. Each is an imperfect, organic oval with its own personality and its own play of color. Look closely and you will see lovely flashes of green, blue and touches of warm orange and red, shifting as the ring moves in the light. The natural irregularities and matrix visible in the stones only add to their earthy appeal.

Each opal is held securely in an individually hand-crafted silver bezel setting, complementing the deliberately organic character of the design.

This is a substantial ring: the front measures almost one inch wide, then gradually narrows toward the back for a more comfortable fit. It is heavy and sturdy at over 9 grams.

The silver shows wear, scuffs and signs of age and use, which we think only add to the ring's wonderful bohemian, well-loved character.
