Australian Koroit Boulder Opal Ring. Large 1" Bali Beads **VIDEO**

For sale is an Australian Koroit boulder opal in sterling silver.   This opal was mined in the Koroit mining fields in a remote area in South West Queensland, Australia.  The opal is a large slightly domed oval.  This stone features jagged rivers of vivid neon green, peacock blue and deep purple that are embedded in rich chocolate brown matrix (or boulder).  The opalescence is primarily green and blue with a wonderful patch of purple-blue in one quadrant.  The fire in this opal ring is more subtle in dim light, but dazzling in sunlight or bright artificial light.  The opal is secure in a handcrafted silver bezel-setting.  It is framed by a halo of pyrope (twisted rope) and further decorated with Bali beads at the top and the bottom. The band of the ring is formed from two loosely woven silver bands.  The opal is backed in silver, and the back of the opal is not visible. This is a vivid, large Koroit specimen that would be attractive on either a man or a woman.
