For sale is an Australian opal necklace with silver leaf links.  This unusual necklace is beautifully hand-crafted.  The Australian jelly opals are suspended in a domed bubble of clear resin and backed in onyx.  The onyx creates a striking backdrop to display these iridescent gemstones.   The top opal is round, and a 2nd teardrop opal dangles below. The top opal flashes primarily with tangerine and lime green fire in sunlight or strong artificial light.  The teardrop opal flashes lime in some lights, and you will also see ghostly lavender purple iridescence in bright light.   Each suspended opal is bezel set in silver.  The large links of this necklace have been crafted with an undulating, organic look.  To my eye they resemble leaves, or even seaweed.  The necklace fastens with a hand-crafted hook and eye closure.  This magical opal necklace is truly one-of-a-kind.
